MoU Signing Between ULM and CUMT

kscUniversity of Lambung Mangkurat conducts Bridge Education Indonesia China Workshop with the theme of Youth-Employability-Bridging-Gap-Classroom-Workplace, on monday (20/11/2017). The event was attended by Vice Rector IV for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Yudi Firmanul Arifin, M.Sc, Section Head of Overseas Cooperation Kemenristekdikti Adhrial Refaddin, SIP., MPP, Expert Staff of Governor for Economic and Development Prov. Dr. South Kalimantan Gusti Yanuar Noor Rifai, M.Si, Delegation from China University of Mining and Technology, Dean and students at ULM, representatives from university members of Kalimantan Universities Consortium (KUC), and students from schools around Banjarmasin city. In this workshop Honghai Li, Vice Dean International Collage China University of Mining and Technology introduced about China University of Mining and Technology which is an important institution of higher education under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of China. Founded in 1909 with a focus on energy science and technology. He also said that China University of Mining and Technology in recent years has increased international exchanges and cooperation with partners from various countries around the world. Followed by the submission of the Kalimantan Universities Consortium roadmap on open pit mining in Kalimantan.

 

ksc1After the workshop, continued with the signing of MoU between China University of Mining and Technology with Lambung Mangkurat University. In this MoU contains about Student Mobility or student exchange, further lecturers education, research collaboration as well as training and visits from each university. This cooperation focuses on mining, as China University of Mining and Technology is the No. 1 University in China and 27 in the mining world. Vice Rector IV Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Yudi Firmanul Arifin, M.Sc in his speech said that this cooperation is very important to develop research which not only for education but also to be applied in the surrounding area.
