As part of the reactivation of the Office of International Affairs (OIA), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) conducted a benchmarking visit to the international offices of Universitas Gadjah Mada and Universitas Islam Indonesia on 28 August 2025.
This activity represents one of the initial strategic steps taken by OIA ULM to strengthen the university’s internationalization framework following its renewed activation in early 2025. The delegation engaged in focused discussions with counterparts at both institutions to learn from established practices in managing international cooperation, academic mobility, and services for international students.
Through dialogue and experience sharing, the visit provided valuable insights into institutional strategies, integrated service systems, and governance mechanisms that support sustainable international engagement. The benchmarking also served as an initial platform for communication that may support future academic collaboration.
The outcomes of this activity will be used as internal input for developing a more structured and realistic internationalization roadmap at ULM, aligned with institutional capacity and long-term development goals.
