SEA – Teacher Project 6th Batch at ULM

Tuesday, August 14, 2018. There are 6 students from Philippine are warmly welcomed by Profesor Yudi, the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relation Lambung Mangkurat Univeristy. On this occasion, Prof. Yudi Firmanul Arifin said that the arrival of foreign students to ULM is one of the program of International Office ULM, namely Sea Teacher Program. This program is the result of the cooperation between Lambung Mangkurat University and SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Educations Organization), which is an international organization intended to promote cooperation in education, science in Southeast Asia. 
 
This year, Lambung Mangkurat University receives 6 students from various Universities in Philippines. There are 2 students from Saint Louis University (SLU), 1 student from Iloilo State of Agriculture and Technology University (ISATU), 1 student from Pangasinan State University (PSU), 1 students from Mindoro State Collage of Agriculture and Technology, and 1 student from Benguet  State University (BSU). Also, the Lambung Mangkurat University sent 6 students that spread in Thailand and the Philippine. The students come from various disciplines of science, such as social science, natural science, mathematics, English, elementary and pre-school. These 6 students will do the practicum as practice teacher at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Banjarmasin, SMP Negeri 1, SMK Negeri 4 and SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. They will live in Banjarmasin for one month, from August 4 – September 1, 2018.

This program has been implemented by Lambung Mangkurat University for 2 consecutive years. Each period, the program is implemented for 1 full month. During the program, students are required to practice teaching at the schools in Banjarmasin. (IO ULM).
